Helpful Information for Ferries to Capri
Purchasing tickets
Generally, it is possible to purchase tickets directly at the port a few minutes before departure.
Reservations
On Sundays and holidays and during high season (June, July, and August), it may be hard to find seats on the ferry. Though there are ferries scheduled more frequently during these periods, we recommend booking seats online directly through the ferry companies.
Route suspensions
In case of rough seas, the high speed ferry routes are suspended and travelers must reach Capri with ferries or slow ferries. Ferry and slow ferry routes are suspended only in case of extremely rough seas and generally only during the winter (from November to March).
How to get to the Port of Naples
High speed ferries for Capri depart from the Molo Beverello pier, and ferries and slow ferries from the Calata di Massa pier. There is a free shuttle bus between the two piers, and the pier where cruise ships dock is located exactly halfway between the two, which are both walking distance away.
By car
You can easily reach the pier by following Via Marina just after the highway exit for Napoli Centro (downtown Naples). From Easter to the beginning of November, vehicles cannot embark to Capri.
